On a wintery night of the 14th of January, 90 children and their families enjoyed an inclusive circus experience at Charter Hall, Colchester Leisure World, thanks to Circus Starr.
The magical mix of fun, excitement, and wonder was conducted by the Ring Mistress, who guided the audience through an unforgettable adventure featuring jaw-dropping Acrobatic Hand to Hand acts, mind-blowing Juggling, mesmerizing Sensory Hoops, gravity-defying BMX stunts, and fabulous dancers lighting up the stage.
Circus Starr, is a charity supporting disabled and disadvantaged children, creating a welcoming environment where kids with additional needs can freely express themselves. Their shows are designed as “tut-free zones,” encouraging shouting, dancing, and uninhibited fun.
A circus visit is a magical experience that stays with children forever—an experience every child deserves, and Circus Starr make it possible.
This show was funded by businesses in Colchester which are invited to support local families by sponsoring or making a donation.
This is the second year Trustee Paulina Rangel secured tickets for families. The Circus Starr Sensory Story and pack delivered along the tickets helped prepare attendees for the show by highlighting the sensory experiences they can expect, making the event more comfortable and familiar.
