We’re thrilled that our Advisory Board Member, Paulina Rangel, was honoured with a trophy at the recent Lawrence Walker Awards & Cancer Awareness Event!
Held at Colchester City Church in Priory Walk, this meaningful event brought together community members and leaders in memory of Lawrence, the late chairman of Black History Month Colchester.
As several speakers gave inspiring talks, attendees reflected on the values Lawrence championed, with awards presented to those upholding his legacy of diversity, inclusion, and community.
Paulina’s award was a proud moment for us at Dream The Change, a Community Interest Company, where we are committed to empowering neurodiverse children and supporting their families and carers.
We had a stall at the event, sharing our mission and initiatives with attendees and highlighting our dedication to building an inclusive and resilient community.
On receiving the award, Paulina said, “Thank you, Dream The Change family, for this incredible recognition! I’m truly honoured and excited to continue working together for meaningful change. Many thanks, kind regards, Paulina”.
“Paulina’s understanding of the unique needs of our community has been crucial for promoting diversity, equality, accessibility, and inclusion,” Jemal A., Co-Founder of Dream The Change shared.
“Her perseverance and dedication help create inclusive spaces and initiatives that foster independence and resilience within the disability community, showing how inclusivity builds stronger, thriving communities.”
The event also featured interactive discussions, and engaging activities focused on cancer awareness, prevention, and support, providing attendees with essential knowledge and resources.
Congratulations, Paulina! The entire Dream The Change family celebrates your well-deserved recognition and is grateful for your unwavering commitment to our community.
Together, we continue to dream and work for meaningful change.
